Wyoming has some great Black bear hunting opportunities and generous season dates. Hunters can purchase bear tags over the counter for any season at any time. Wyoming utilizes a unique system where most units have a sow quota. Once the quota has been hit the unit will close for hunting. Hunters will find a wide array of terrain types and features to chase bears and can easily find a hunt to suit their needs. Baiting is legal in many units and can be a great tactic for hunters in thicker country.
