This unit is West of Fillmore and east of Delta. It consists of flat and rolling terrain that holds good numbers of antelope and is physically easy to hunt with large tracts visible from vantage points on highways and dirt roads.
New Section ContentMost antelope live on the rolling hills and flatlands south of highway 50, with much of the land being visible from vantage points on highways and secondary roads. Many antelope water at isolated drinkers and stock ponds. Some antelope feed on center-pivot irrigated alfalfa fields.
Antelope are found mostly inthe lowlands, where there are pinyon pines, junipers, grasses, forbs, sagebrush, oak brush, and other browse plants.
The low country where antelope live here is easy to reach with many good dirt roads and ATV trails. Antelope are dispersed, so hunters must cover lots of ground. Black Rock Road provides good access to the south of the unit. Hunters can also gain access to interior secondary roads from Interstate 15, US 50 and State Route 257. There is some private farmland west of Meadow and east of Delta. Some landowners give permission to hunters who ask to hunt their private fields.
Fillmore and Delta have lodging, gas, groceries and other supplies. Camping is allowed on most public land.
