This small unit is located entirely around the town of Fillmore situated in west-central Utah. This area is entirely private land and hunters will need to secure access before hunting.
This small units hold a good number of deer the absolute lack of public land can be a challenge for most hunters.
Due to the size of the unit hunters will see very little in terrain types. Most of the unit will comprise a typical town-scape with many buildings and roads. On some of the outskirts areas hunters will find large fields and sage flats. Scattered pinyon-juniper can be encountered but only where they have been cut down.
Other than agricultural crops this area features very little vegetation. The ground is primarily rock with patches of grass and sage. In a few periodic patches hunters can find patches of pinyon juniper which can hold deer during hot midday temps.
With this area being dominated by private lands hunters will need to secure private access to find any success on this hunt. The town. of Fillmore is located along the main I-15 corridor and hunters will have no issue driving to the hunting area.
Several modern lodging options can be found within the unit and with access to groceries, gas, supplies, and some gear. Any specialized gear needs may need to be met prior to leaving for the hunt but overall, most everything can be found in Fillmore.
