Nice video. Did the first shot connect with the deer? It looked like a miss but it was hard to follow the trace.

Hey Randy. The first shot actually hit the deer just off the top area of the front shoulder which is why the deer picked up his leg. And since I already had a round in the deer and I owe it to the animal to put it down quickly, so I put a follow-up shot into the deer. The second shot went right up through the deer and broke the opposite front shoulder... I didn't feel that showing the second shot impact added anything to the film. I always want a one shot kill, but it's hunting and things happen. Glad you enjoyed the film!

That was an excellent video. Thank you. Did you leave piles of wood when you went scouting in the summer for use when you came back? You mentioned there was dry wood when you arrived. Was that shot 590 yards? I thought that is what you said but it wasn't clear. Thanks for a great video.
