I am looking forward to trying the Alaska Guide model. Have you guys tried that one?

Hey Tim, are you on the Kuiu mailing list? You must be prescient man! Just this morning I got an announcement of upgrades to the Kuiu bino harness and it includes two new accessories that attach to the bottom of the harness. One, a rangfinder case, and the second, a pad to hold six rounds where they are easy to get to and won't get damaged. As for the bear spray, I don't like to hang mine off anything that can come unclipped from a fall or tussle with brush. My holster is always firmly attached to my chest and if I drop my pack, it goes on my belt or the bino harness straps. Plus, they really recommend you carry two, which I've begun doing, as you usually blow of the first shot while the bear is still out of range. Thanks for pointing out those features Tim!

One other feature to note on the MYSTERY RANCH Bino Harness is the MOLLE webbing on the bottom -- this is where you can attach either the MR Bear Spray holster or handgun holster. It is great to have your binos, range finder, wind checker, a few diaphragm calls and either spray or a handgun on you at all times, especially when you drop your pack for a stalk or when calling in elk in bear country.
