Earlier dates will provide an opportunity to enjoy better weather with less chance of losing days to inclement weather. The drawback to the earlier dates will be shorter hair causing a less desirable hide. The season dates typically offer a chance to take advantage of later dates and harvest a long haired goat, but many hunters have missed their hunts due to bad weather.
