I grew up in a small logging community where hunting and fishing was about all we had to do growing up. My obsession for the outdoors was real from a young age. Like many my dad, uncles and grandpas were passionate hunters. I have been chasing and hunting animals in Washington State since 1994 and have been fortunate enough to harvest some great animals. Even more important than the trophies is the time I’ve got to spend with my family and friends in the outdoors. I am an opportunist and will hunt any season or chance that I get.
I have taken elk using a bow, muzzleloader and rifle…but prefer to be calling bulls in during September and chasing mule deer in the mountains. I graduated from St. Martins College in 2005 with a bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering. My every day gig is working as a licensed Professional Engineer in the state of Washington. I feel very fortunate that my professional and personal life allows me the opportunity to follow my passion of hunting. When not spending time in the woods I can be found running Phelps Game Calls. Where I specialize in elk, turkey, predator, waterfowl and almost any other game calls. I still reside in the small community of PeEll, Washington with my Wife, Sondi, and two young kids, Hunter and Payton.
