Over 1,500 leftover tags are available in Arizona

Over 1,500 leftover tags are available in Arizona

Starting Monday, Nov. 29, you can apply for a chance at one of the 1,538 leftover tags for Arizona javelina or turkey. The Arizona Game and Fish Department (AZGFD) announced the availability of these tags this week.

Here’s the Breakdown of What Is Available:

  • 921 handgun, archery or muzzleloader (HAM) javelina

  • 322 archery only javelina

  • 205 general javelina

  • 62 youth only javelina

  • 16 general turkey

  • 12 raptor capture

Details are posted right here and the tag list can be viewed here. AZGFD is only accepting paper applications via U.S. mail for the available tags. All completed paper applications must be addressed to:

You should allow 10 to 15 days for mailing/receipt of application by the agency.
