Elk beheaded in montana h1

A bull elk was poached in Fergus County, Montana on Nov. 8 and, now, Montana Fish, Wildlife and Parks (Montana FWP) is hoping someone has some information. The elk, which was shot on private property near Surenuff and Flatwillow roads in the Little Snowy Mountains, had its head cut off.

The rest of the animal was left to rot.

I think it’s unfortunate that we live in a world that you have to be rewarded for doing the right thing. The person that killed that bull stole it from every person in this country. As a member of Fergus county it really hits home.

LOL to the above. I earnestly agree. I would also throw anybody under the bus possible to get my tag.

FWP needs to up the reward or instead of offering money offer hard to draw tags. This will entice people to rat on almost anyone. I have seen other states do this and it appears to work well.
