Located in the Southeast part of the state, this unit has a lot of BLM and state land, as well as the Medicine Bow-Routt National Forests. High elk numbers with quality bulls available. No wilderness and plenty of access throughout the entire unit. Those willing to put in the effort should find success.
Moderate to rugged terrain here, with elk all throughout the unit. This is a large area with a lot of country to hunt. Good hunting on both public and private lands for archery season. Rifle season dates may require private access or booking with an outfitter to improve your chances at success. Large ranches are leased by some reputable outfitters.
