On The Ground
Unit 84 consists of large ranch lands with BLM lands and State of Wyoming controlled lands with Wyoming Game and Fish Red Rim-Daley Wildlife Habitat Management Access Area.
A high number of mule deer can be found in this area. Hunters should be aware of public access and private property boundaries in the checkerboard pattern throughout the area. The Red Rim-Daley WHMA is a great place to find mule deer during hunting season.
Terrain
The terrain in this area is made up of rolling hills that overlook the Sugar Creek. Vegetation cover is rare throughout the unit but hunters can use the terrain to their advantage. Deer use large canyons and dry creek beds found throughout the unit as travel routes.

Vegetation
Short grass prairie and sagebrush grasslands cover the majority of the land in this area. Mule deer can usually be found near the draws and rock outcrops. Whitetails in this area can typically be seen closer to the river bottoms.
Access
This area does not usually have great designated public access. Several private land tracts are located within this area. Wind and early snowstorms can make vehicle access difficult.
Camping and Lodging
There are limited designated camping sites within this unit and hotels can be found just north of the unit in Rawlins.
