On The Ground
This unit has a lot of of private land with some tracts of state and BLM land. Public land access can be tough. Mature mule deer and whitetails are commonly found here.For nonresidents, this area is part of Region D and tags drawn for this area are valid in: 66, 70, 74, 75, 76, 77, and 88
There are good populations of mule deer in most parts of the area. Bigger bucks can be found in the south of the area, and Whitetails can be seen in all parts of the area. The irrigated and private land in the central portion also have big bucks that hunters harvest regularly.
Terrain
The majority of this area has rolling hills, irrigated ranch land and private ranches. In the south central and northwest parts of the region there are a lot of rough mountains, where mule deer can typically be found.

Vegetation
Short grass prairie, cottonwood trees and sage brush cover up a lot of the land here, while conifers, willows and aspen trees are usually found in the mountains.
Access
The far east and far west of the area have good public access with a lot of walk in areas on private land. The central part of the unit has some state land and BLM sections that public can access. Private land takes up most of the unit, but some landowners will give hunters access.
Camping and Lodging
There are limited camping spots here, check with BLM and Wyoming Game and Fish for designated camping sites. Lodging can also be found to the north in Laramie.
