Elevations from 6,699-9,691 feet
Vegetation
There are some large, open fields and hills in the lower elevations, with a lot of sagebrush and junipers. As the elevation gets higher, hunters can expect to see aspen, junipers and a lot of buckbrush. Vegetation here is ideal for mule deer.
Access
Access to public land is not great, but there are still some opportunities on private land. Getting permission to hunt on private land here can be hard, and hunters should try to research public land opportunities before their hunt.
