This unit is located in the northwestern portion of the state, north of Jackson. This unit is bordered by two National Parks, Yellowstone to the north and Teton National Park to the west. A large portion of this unit is also designated Wilderness Area. There is only a narrow strip of national forest, about a mile and a half wide and 20 miles long, that runs along State Highway 287/26.
Unless nonresidents have a resident with them with a guiding license, this unit is not the best choice.
