On The Ground
Area 94, also referred to as Carter Lease is located in the southwest part of the state northeast of Evanston. Comprised of high plains desert, this unit contains expansive amounts of BLM and State lands. It is bordered by U.S. Highway 189 on the west, U.S. Highway 30 on the northeast and Interstate 80 on the south.
This area has good access to the hunting public. This is an area where you exercise patience and can be very selective with your trophy.
Terrain
This area, like other surrounding areas, consists of a variety of desert-like open prairie, with badlands and deep cuts that provide opportunity for stalking. Gas and oil drilling activity provides access roads in places.

Vegetation
Large open land with sagebrush and grasslands make up most of this area. Some private irrigated croplands near Lyman draw antelope from the surrounding prairie.
Access
Public access in this unit is good. It contains several well maintained roads, a network of BLM roads and smaller 2-tracks. Be sure to utilize your GOHUNT maps for landownership and property boundaries. ATV's, UTV's and four-wheel drive vehicles in a unit such as this one.
Camping and Lodging
Kemmerer and Evanston are the closest towns of any size, and offer many options for lodging. Groceries, gas, and other amenities can be found here as well. Camping is allowed on all public ground for up to 16 days in one location.
