On The Ground
This larger unit is found in the central portion of the state and lies just east of Riverton. Great distributions of public lands are found here along with good antelope populations. Great hunting conditions are found here.
With good public land and vehicle access, hunters should be able to glass over a lot of antelope bucks while searching for a target animal.
Terrain
A lot of the terrain here changes from open sage and grassland flats, to rolling sagebrush hills and ravines throughout most of the unit. Upper elevations in the northern portion of the unit are more mountainous and timbered. Antelope are typically in the open country, in the central and southern parts of the unit

Vegetation
Sagebrush, broom snakeweed, rabbitbrush, greasewood and grasses can all be found in the lower elevations. Pinyon, junipers and isolate pockets of pine are more common in the higher elevations.
Access
Running east from Shoshoni toward Casper, US route 26 serves as the southern boundary of the unit. The Badwater road running from US route 26 is a known and good route that goes through the unit that will let you to see a lot of country and antelope. From the Badwater road there are several roads running both north and south that have good hunting.
Camping and Lodging
Riverton is roughly 25 miles from the southwest boundary of this unit. Riverton has several lodging areas, campgrounds, gas stations, markets and restaurants. Rocky Mountain Sports found in Riverton also sells sporting goods, as well as a archery pro shop.
