This unit is found in the north central portion of the state and just south of the Bighorn Mountains. Good numbers of antelope are found here along with a great distribution of public lands. Some of the best bucks will be routinely found on private lands but public land hunters who work hard can find success.

Most of this terrain has lowlands with big flats with a small area consisting of benches, ravines and small drainages. There are a lot of areas to find elevation and glass for long distances. Spot and stalk tactics will work great throughout this area and sitting over water during periods of high temps can be excellent.

With a great distribution of public lands and plenty of county roads hunters will find little trouble in finding huntable locations.

Antelope can typically be found near sage, grass and pinyon or juniper trees. In some parts of the unit it can seem flat and dry with only small brush able to be found.

Camping is available on public lands, but the areas to camp are typically areas that are being hunted by a lot of other hunters. There are a couple of hotels available on the northeast corner of the unit in Kaycee. Kaycee also has a few options for fuel and groceries.
