This small island is basically all private. You will need to take the ferry to the island. Watch for lots of regulations within the various parks on the island. There is hunting opportunity within this small GMU, however, the style of hunt is certainly not for everyone.
Very few animals harvested on the island annually.
This small island is just above sea level with a healthy population of deer. The terrain is thickly brushed and has lots of very small, single-family residential properties. A GPS will help you know your hunting boundaries and will be useful for game retrieval as well.
This unit has thick, lush cover with small pieces of cleared land. There are a few small farms and hobby farms in the area. Tidal flats and marshland are very common here as elevations rise just a few hundred feet above sea level. There is a significant amount of introduced non-native decorative trees, shrubs, and flowers, some of which are growing feral.
Access is all private land and best secured early.
Unless you know someone who lives on the island, you will need to take the ferry each day from Steilacoom.
