Washington offers great opportunities for those looking to hunt bears. Baiting and the use of hounds are prohibited, but Washington offers plenty of terrain types for spot and stalk style hunting. Fall hunting seasons are available with over the counter general tags, but all hunting during the spring is done so with special permit tags. Overall, Washington has produced a fair amount of bears that made their entry into the B&C record books and hunters can expect a great hunt.
