On The Ground
Located in the northern part of the state, this unit has good genetics and healthy deer herds. Varied terrain with steep timbered slope and grassy hillside at higher eleveation leading out to rolling foothills and private property at the valley floor.
This unit has general season archery, muzzleloader, and rifle hunts prior to this limited entry late muzzleloader hunt. It's managed for hunter opportunity but this unit still holds good bucks. This unit has limited public access.
Terrain
Leading out of the valley floor the steep Bear River Mountain Ranges rises to rugged heights. Along the mountain range are steep creek drainages leading down to the foothills rolling out of the valleys.

Vegetation
Low elevations are irrigated farm land, sagebrush and oak brush. Continuing up through the middle elevations are oak brush, sagebrush with aspen, spruce and fir trees. The higher elevations have scattered aspen groves with the steep slopes covered in conifer forests. Many of the high basins are grassy with short sagebrush.
Access
Much of the unit is covered by large private ranches, many do offer guided hunts or trespass permits for a fee. There is road access on all sides of the unit with well-maintained dirt roads leading to less-maintained 4-wheel- drive roads or ATV trails.

Camping and Lodging
Most hunters camp along roads, there are several locations that have good, flat camping locations for travel trailers or tents. There are a couple of designated campgrounds open to the public. There are several cities and towns spread throughout the unit that offer lodging and supplies.
