This very small unit is located in southeast Utah in the town of Monticello. This hunt is primarily designed as a population control hunt and there are virtually zero options for public land hunts.
Because this unit is hardly huntable on public lands many hunters will look into hunt in other parts of the state.
Because this hunting area is centered around the town of Monticello there is very little terrain to speak of. Some elevated areas can be found in the southeast and southwest corners that do rise slightly above the level of town, but only by a few hundred feet.
Because this area is primarily urban development there is very little in the way of native vegetation. Along the southern border of the unit hunters can find large patches of pinyon juniper and sage.
For the most part there is zero access for public hunting found in this unit. A small section of BLM land can be found in the southeast corner though the area is heavily recreated and features a well maintained trail system.
Quite a few lodging modern lodging options can be found in the town of Monticello along with groceries and some select sporting goods. Any specialty sporting goods will need to be purchased prior to the hunt.
