Terrain
Though arid desert, this unit still has plenty of water and stretches from the southwestern corner of the Great Salt Lake south through Skull Valley to the Sevier Desert near Delta. Several small, isolated mountain ranges jut from the valley floor throughout the unit. Lowlands are mostly wide desert valleys. Most antelope will be found on the benches between these ranges and lowlands.
Roughly 3,666 square miles
89% public land
Elevations from 4,230-9,615 feet
Vegetation
Low elevations consist mainly of grasses, rabbitbrush, sagebrush and scattered stands of pinyon/juniper. High sagebrush grows along creeks and on the shady sides of ridges. Farmlands dot many of the valley floors. Middle elevations and high elevations have pinyon/juniper and sagebrush with scattered stands of curl-leaf mahogany and white pine.
Access
Ther is good road access to most of the unit. Dirt roads are rough, so make sure to carry spare tires and tools. Wet weather makes some roads nearly impassable. Most land is managed by the BLM, with the rest being controlled by the U.S. Army or private.
Mostly public roads
Four-wheel-drive vehicles are recommended especially in wet conditions
ATVs would be helpful on some roads
