  • Elevations from 4,047-8,260 feet

High elevations are timbered with ponderosa pines and pinyon/junipers, while the middle elevations are primarily canyon lands with pockets of grass meadows, sage brush and scrub oak. The lower elevations contain pinyon/juniper, sagebrush and oak brush. Small stock ponds and seeps can be found throughout this unit.

Ther is great access throughout the unit with maintained dirt roads that will give hunters access to different parts of the unit. Highway 191 runs north to south through the center of the unit and has a number of dirt roads that stem from it. The northeastern boundary is state route 46 and there are some good access roads to this part of the unit.

  • ATVs can make hunting the dirt roads easier

Moab and Monticello have lodging, gas, groceries and other supplies. Camping permitted on most public land but there are plenty of camp sites throughout the unit.
