This unit is located in the southwest corner of the state with the Black Hills bordering just to the north. The only notable town is Hot Springs, SD in the far northeast corner of the unit. This unit is primarily private land with scattered public land available across the unit to include a decent amount of walk-in primarily in the far northwest corner. The terrain has scattered CRP mixed with rolling hills and pine ridges fading into the grass.
With decent access, and a solid mix of whitetail and mule deer, this unit is sought after by DIY hunters looking to find a place to hunt. You may also run into elk while in this unit.

- Mount Rushmore which is directly north out of Hot Springs, SD is approximately 50 miles away
