This unit is located on the far east side of the state and along the Minnesota state line. There is very little public access in this unit with just a handful of walk-in areas, and small sections of state ground that make much more sense for folks looking to plan a waterfowl hunt than a deer hunt. DIY public land hunters can find some success here but most of the publicly accessible pieces are small and scattered.
There is virtually no public land in this relatively small unit so public lands hunters may really struggle.
Quick Tips
- Bring your Shotgun as there may be options to hunt some upland game as well as waterfowl in the area
- GOHUNT Maps are recommended to help navigate public and private boundaries
- There is very little state land and walk-in access in this unit, without prior arrangements to access a piece of private land there is very little opportunity to hunt in this entire unit
