This district is west of Red Lodge and northeast of Cooke City. This district is almost entirely in the Absaroka-Beartooth Wilderness. This is remote, extremely steep mountainous country with high elevation plateaus littered with dozens of alpine lakes.

This district has the potential to produce a billy in the 9” range. Goats are widely scattered in different locations throughout the district. This district is mostly a high elevation plateau above 10,000 feet. Goat populations are down from historic highs. Billies typically range from 8-9”
