This district is south of Red Lodge and adjacent to the Wyoming state line. Highway 212 south of Red Lodge takes you into the heart of this district. Most of the time goats can be seen from the scenic overlooks along the highway.
Even though goat numbers are down from historic highs, this area still has a good goat population. Goat quality is good, with the chance to find a 9" billy. This district is on National Forest land outside of the Absaroka-Beartooth Wilderness.
