This unit is located in central Montana and is just north and west of White Sulphur Springs. Great Falls is on the very northern edge. Highway 89 is the eastern boundary and the Smith River is the western boundary. It encompasses the western portion of the Little Belt Mountain range. There are only four either sex tags for this unit.
Moose numbers are low and widely scattered but the population is stable. There is potential in this unit with bulls taken in the past to 40”. Past success averages around 20 days per harvest. Most of the moose habitat is on national forest land in the Little Belt Mountains.
