46.8% public land
Elevations from 4,000-8,800 feet
Vegetation
Some moose inhabit the private creek and river bottoms, out away from the mountain and in the foothills and some live in the deep drainages of forest on public ground. The creeks and rivers have cottonwoods, willows, and related riparian species. The mountains are covered with pine, spruce and fir trees. There are a lot of open grassy meadows and adjacent good stands of aspens and willows.
