Maries County is steep, wooded, and packed with classic Ozark whitetail habitat. The combination of timbered ridgelines, small pastures, and creek drainages creates natural movement routes. Hunting here takes patience and effort, but there’s good potential for older age-class bucks in the deeper pockets of cover away from easy access.
