A big area that lies south and east of Idaho Falls. Mule deer, whitetail and elk are hunted here with over-the-counter and draw tags available.

This unit is home to some big deer and elk with healthy resident herds of all species although many migrate here from the Caribou Range. Wolf encounters are possible and there is heavy hunting pressure near roads during general seasons.

Mostly mild terrain with rolling hills. Caribou National Forest and the Blackfoot Mountains have some rugged country with tall peaks and steep drainages. Mostly easy to glass with some heavily-forested areas. Creeks and streams can be found throughout the unit.

Large amount of private land, including Fort Hall Indian Reservation. Public roads can be accessed from Highway 26 on the north, Highway 91 on the west and Highway 34 on the southeast. Bone Road and Long Valley Roads provide access to the inside of the unit and to other primitive roads. Private land makes access to some areas difficult. Some motor vehicle restrictions in this area.

Sagebrush covered hills and crops to the north and west along the Snake River. Scattered aspen stands, grass and shrubs around the center of the unit. The Caribou National Forest and Blackfoot Mountains have some conifer forests of Lodgepole Pine and Douglas Fir.

Many hotels and motels are available in Blackfoot and Idaho Falls. RV and tent camping is available at BLM Blackfoot Reservoir Campground, Henry boat docks, and Juniper Campground at Ririe Reservoir. Primitive camping is also available on BLM and national forest lands.
