Colorado has several different mountain goat populations across the state and offers a good diversity of units. Nearly all of the units consistently produce goats that exceed 9” in horn length. Unique to Colorado are their archery-only mountain goat seasons. Mountain goats are tough animals that live in rough terrain found at high elevations. Physical preparation is extremely important in order to improve your overall hunting experience.
