Elk have been on a great path in the Grand Canyon State during the past few years. Not only has the Game and Fish Department been doing a great job of game management, but mild winters also allow bulls to reach maturity and grow to their potential. Herds have been healthy, and hunters have put many bulls in the Boone and Crockett Club's record book. Arizona offers several seasons during the rut, allowing hunters to experience the excitement of hearing and seeing bulls when they are vocal and active.
