This area is located southwest of Gillette. Public access is limited in much of the area making this a difficult area to hunt. Securing permission to access private land is highly recommended. Mule deer are the common deer species in the area. A very low number of whitetails are found here.For nonresidents, this area is part of Region C and tags drawn for this area are also valid in: 17, 18, 23, 26, 29, 31.
Harsh winters have impacted this area over the greater part of the last decade. Potential for a quality mule deer buck still exists, but is challenging. Nearly all quality lands are privately owned and typically outfitted.
