At a Glance
This area can be found in the east-central part of the state and just north of Douglas. Comprised of high plains desert, this unit has a mix of private land, BLM land, state land and the Thunder Basin National Grassland. Public land hunters will find a lot of opportunities here and have the option to cover some serious ground in search of a buck they like.
There is good general access to public land here, with a high success rate for harvest. Using an outfitter to access private land can increase trophy potential. There is a lot of oil and gas activity in the west part of the unit.
