This small unit is located in northern Utah and encompasses Utah Lake. This area is almost entirely urban development with very little in the way of public lands being available to hunt. This hunt is largely used for population control and very few mature deer get taken.

The biggest issue hunters will need to overcome when hunting this unit is public access. Securing private access is the best bet for ensuring success.

This area is largely flat with the exception of West Mountain and Warm Springs Mountain, both of which are located on the southern end of the unit. An elevation change of approximately one thousand feet can be found here making for mostly easy hiking conditions for nearly every hunter.

Low elevations in this unit have dry, desert rolling hills and flats. Some grass, prickly-pear cactus and sagebrush with scattered pinyon pines and juniper trees can be found here. Middle elevations are covered in pinyon pines and the sagebrush continues through this elevation as well.

As noted, hunters will be extremely limited when it comes to public access. Some small sections of BLM lands are available to hunt on the southern end of the unit but hunters will likely need to find private access elsewhere for the best odds of success.

With the units reciprocity to several large cities, hunters will find have very few issues in locating reliable sources for lodging, groceries, and gear.
