When it comes to states that offer desert bighorn sheep hunting, Nevada is a good place to start. More nonresident sheep tags are offered in Nevada than in all other states combined. Hunters may accrue bonus points, which are squared, increasing a hunter’s odds of drawing a tag. Nevada offers good sheep hunting with great trophy size, large hunting areas and high numbers of rams. The state has done a great job of managing these fragile animals, resulting in generous tag quotas. Nonresidents may accrue bonus points for desert bighorns and California bighorns, simultaneously.
