Nevada has some of the best antelope hunting in the west. Most animals are hunted on public land, but some live on private land or on public land that is surrounded by private property. In some parts of the state hunters have taken several bucks with horns that are more than 16" long and scoring more than 80" Boone and Crockett. Tags for hunting in highly desired units might take several years to draw. A hunter who applies unsuccessfully for a tag receives a bonus point, which increases the future chances of drawing a permit. Bonus points are squared, so the odds of drawing a tag increase each year a hunter applies.
