Arizona offers some incredible hunting for black bear with generous season dates, good draw odds in many units, and over the counter opportunities. These can be excellent hunts for those looking to fill in some dead time in their season. Above all else, Arizona bear hunts are relatively inexpensive and allow hunters to experience new adventures in new country and terrain.

Hunters are allowed to kill one bear per calendar year
Hunters must call the Arizona bear hotline to ensure the female quota has not been met for their desired unit
Bear harvests must be called into AZFGD within 48 hours of harvest
Hide and skull must be presented to AZFGD employee within 10 days of harvest
Baiting is prohibited for hunting bears
