An Idaho hunting trip took a wrong turn after four friends hit an elk in Montana on their way to the Gem State. The four friends hit the road for what should have been a fun elk hunting trip only to strike an elk that wandered into the road while they were still in Montana. According to the GoFundMe account set up to help raise funds to cover serious injuries and resulting surgeries, Austin, Branden, Spencer and Ryan’s “mini bus camper hit the elk, lost control, and went off an embankment.”
All were rushed to the hospital in Miles City, Montana and transferred to Billings. Once in Billings, Branden and Spencer were transferred to Salt Lake City, Utah to get the necessary treatment. All men had neck, back and leg injuries as a result of the crash. Fortunately, all are conscious and able to communicate.
To date, their GoFundMe page has raised $58,145 of its $85,000 goal. To donate or receive updates on their recovery, click HERE.
GOHUNT wishes a speedy recovery to Austin, Branden, Spencer and Ryan.
