How many miles do you normally wait to consider your boots broken in enough to tell how well they fit/perform?

A golden rule is usually roughly around 50 miles. But certain boots and your foot type can make that timeframe much quicker. You can break that up by starting slow and slowly increasing the miles. I like to do this break-in process on trails, but I have walked around my neighborhood in my boots, or I'll jump on a treadmill and walk with a little incline with new boots.
