On The Ground

This small unit is located in North Central Utah and most of the hunting is conducted on private agricultural lands in the area. Public land hunters will find very few opportunities and securing private access prior to apply for tags here would be strongly advised.

Good deer numbers can be found here but hunters can run into access issues is private land is not secured prior to the hunt.

Terrain

Most of this area is comprised of private agricultural lands in the lower valley bottom. Here, very little terrain variation will be found and hunting conditions will generally be considered fairly easy.

  • Roughly 310 square miles

  • 2% public land

  • Elevations range from 5,000 - 5,600 feet

Low elevations in this unit have dry, desert rolling hills and flats. Some grass, prickly-pear cactus and sagebrush with scattered pinyon pines and juniper trees. Along with these native vegetation types, agricultural fields cover the landscape.

Modern lodging options can be found in any of the smaller towns in the area. Sporting goods and groceries can also be found in these areas but more specific needs will likely need to be met prior to the hunt begining.
