This small unit is found on the east side of the town of Tooele within the Settlement Canyon. Only a few small portions of public land exist making options very limited for most hunters. Excellent habitat will be found here along with great deer numbers.

This area has very little public access though the hunting can be great.

Hunters will find a lot of elevation change in this small unit as most of it is contained in the mountainous Settlement Canyon. There are a few high country type areas that do exist and hunters will need to climb in excess of 1,500 feet to reach these. Physical exterition can be very high when hunting here.

This unit features a huge array of vegetation over many different elevations. The lower elevations will be predominant sage flats with periodic patches of pinyon juniper. In the mid-elevation areas ground cover will increase with patches of serviceberry, fir, aspen, and bitterbrush. In the higher elevations the ground cover will slightly disperse and give way to large basin meadows and mature stands of fir and spruce.

Access in this areas is difficult on two accounts- Lack of public land physical limitations. Hunting the few small portions of public can lead to heavy competition though heading into the highest elevations will certainly weed some of this out. Hunters may find that the physical exertion needed to reach the high country to be to excessive when there will still likely be competition around.

There are several modern lodging options found in Tooele and primitive camping is permitted on public lands for up to 14 days. Groceries and sporting goods can all be found in Tooele though it may be necessary to meet specific gear needs prior to the hunt.
